Brisbane Northside Emergency (BNE) is a private fee-for-service emergency centre providing immediate and quality care for adults and children 24 hours day, 7 days a week - including public holidays.
BNE is located on The Prince Charles and Holy Spirit Northside Private Hospital campus in Chermside.
Brisbane Northside Emergency fosters team work and professional development with the aim to provide excellence in emergency health care.
BNE employs staff in clinical and non-clinical roles, including:
- Registered Nurses
- Dedicated ECA’s (Emergency Centre Assistants)
- Reception staff (rostered 24 hours / day)
At BNE, we provide emergency care for adults and children of all ages. We treat most conditions with the exception of major multi trauma, psychiatric patients and obstetric patients > 22 weeks which should be managed at a large public hospital or relevant facility.
Our facilities at BNE include:
12 beds of which two are fully serviced resuscitation bays; cardiac monitoring to 11 of the 12 beds; slit lamp for ophthalmic injuries, plaster room for first line orthopaedic management; a children’s cubicle; an x-ray room for minor ED x-ray management with the capacity for a full x-ray service in the adjoining Holy Spirit Northside Private Hospital.
Our Emergency Centre has one of the best medical staffing profiles in Australia. Our Emergency Medicine Specialists supported by our team of nursing and administration staff provide expert, experienced and excellent standards of care at all times.
We aim to attend to our patients emergency needs within minutes of their arrival into BNE - if not immediately- and to provide them with quality and personal care in a private, professional and respectful manner.
Brisbane Northside Emergency is a fee-for-service Private Emergency Centre. Private insurance is not required to attend this centre as we are an outpatient facility not covered by any insurance.
Although BNE is privately owned and is a separate business to Holy Spirit Northside Private Hospital (HSN) we share the same key values of dignity and compassion. Most of our patients who require admission into hospital are admitted into HSN.
BNE supports and in turn is supported by services at Holy Spirit Northside Private Hospital (HSN).
HSN is a private acute not for profit tertiary hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and day services across a broad range of medical and surgical specialities. It has 195 inpatient beds, 8 operating theatres, a 15 bed ICU, a 10 bed acute care cardiac unit, 2 cardiac catheter laboratories, a day procedural and endoscopy unit, plus a day oncology service.
